Longevity Investor Network 2024 End of Year Update

By sharing our experiences and insights, we aim to keep our community informed about the remarkable advancements in rejuvenation biotechnology. The field of rejuvenation biotechnology aims to develop technologies that combat age-related diseases, striving to keep individuals biologically younger. The Longevity Research Institute (LRI) established the Longevity Investor Network (LIN) to connect promising longevity tech companies with investors, facilitating the transition of transformative technologies from the lab to clinical applications.

Looking Back at a Successful 2024 for the LIN

The Longevity Investor Network has experienced substantial growth in the past year. Below are highlights of our successes in this annual update:

Membership Growth & Network Expansion

In 2024, the LIN significantly expanded its membership, nearly doubling from 205 to 411 members. This expansion has reinforced our ability to connect investors with cutting-edge longevity biotechnology startups, furthering our mission to accelerate innovation in the field.

Investment Activity & Capital Deployment

Our network actively invested in several promising longevity biotech companies, deploying over $650,000 USD in 2024. These investments signify our commitment to supporting innovative solutions that address aging-related diseases and extend human healthspan. The companies we supported are listed below:

Company Name Description
ECM Develops technology to repair abnormal extracellular matrix (ECM) damaged due to aging, focusing on tissue regeneration and wound healing.
BIOIO Innovates drug discovery by targeting unique NAD+-dependent pathways to induce fatty acid oxidation without relying on typical metabolic drugs.
Oviva Creates therapies to enhance ovarian function and address health issues stemming from hormonal shifts due to aging in women.
BE Therapeutics Focuses on engineering neocortical tissue to combat brain aging and neurodegeneration.
LEAH Labs Is building a CAR-T cell therapy discovery engine aimed at both human and companion animal oncology.
Vivian Therapeutics Works towards innovative therapies for age-related diseases using a unique genetic modeling approach.

Investor Engagement & Educational Initiatives

To foster deeper engagement and informed investing within longevity biotech, we hosted 25 investor pitch sessions featuring over 70 longevity companies. These sessions provided valuable deal flow opportunities and insights into the latest advancements in the field.

Additionally, we organized five Investor Education Seminars in collaboration with leading organizations and experts, covering a variety of critical industry topics.

A Growing Portfolio of Rejuvenation Biotech Companies

Since its inception in 2020, the Longevity Investor Network has invested in a total of 19 companies, amounting to over $5,525,000 in investments to date. Our robust portfolio highlights our dedication to supporting transformative solutions.

Building a Pipeline to the Clinic

This year has been incredibly exciting for the LIN, and we anticipate further growth in 2025. Javier Noris, LIN project lead, adds:

_We are living through a remarkable turning point in biomedical history. The longevity biotechnology industry—once considered speculative—is now entering a phase of real-world traction. Investment is accelerating, driven by a new class of sophisticated funds and visionary investors who recognize both the economic potential and humanitarian promise of targeting the root causes of aging._

_Now, therapies such as senolytics and cellular reprogramming are inching closer to the public, signaling a shift from theoretical to operational pipelines. What once was science fiction is rapidly becoming science fact, paving the way for sustainable business models while impacting patient lives._

Our organization remains committed to the mission of supporting and accelerating the progress of longevity biotechnology research. We believe that rejuvenation therapies will revolutionize healthcare systems in the near future.
